Here at Periodontists of Hawaii, we are proud to offer Periodontal Maintenance to patients. Periodontal maintenance is a procedure that is done to clean your teeth thoroughly. It is very important to stop periodontal disease from advancing.
During a Periodontal Maintenance cleaning, tartar and plaque buildup is removed above and below the gums. This includes gum pockets and underneath the gum line. In some more severe cases of periodontal disease, we may medicate the teeth (and gum pockets) with an antibiotic or antimicrobial gel. We also may use this time to take radiographs and get a clear view of your teeth and gums.
We are proud to offer dental implants for our patients. Dental implants are roots placed in your mouth that support the facial structure by applying healthy tension to the jawbone.
Dental implants are done to ensure that the jawbone will continue to produce new and healthy bone cells.
