This trip to the Children's orphanage in HoChiMinh Vietnam was a little different however just as special if not more. We were able to collect about $800 from different friends and companies in Honolulu which went into buying rice, noodles, and milk for these children. This year I asked the principal of the Orphanage if I could bring oral hygiene supplies to help with the oral care of these children. Her response was that they would also like food, rice, and milk for donations if possible. After about 6 months of asking for donations we collected enough money to buy many kilos of rice, milk, and noodles for these children. I was also able to bring oral hygiene supplies for the children and caretakers. Even though this is just a small act of kindness I think it helps not only the children but those involved in showing how to give kindness and love. Many of these children will not experience a normal life or a happy family life that so many of us dream about. Thank you all for those that donated to make this event possible.
